LTI Usability test - Laura Vence

Objective: To evaluate the usability of a prototype for a new tool to create and manage LTIs (Learning Tools Interoperability).

Participant: A support technician with experience using LTIs.

Tasks:

• Create a new LTI.
• Edit an existing LTI.
• Delete an LTI.
• View the message that appears when trying to delete an LTI that is being used in multiple courses.

Findings:

• The user was able to complete all tasks successfully.
• The user found the interface to be easy to use and navigate.
• The user had a few suggestions for improving the tool, such as:
  • Making the information about where to find the necessary data for creating a new LTI more visible.
  • Adding a step-by-step guide on how to create a new LTI.
  • Allowing LTIs to be deleted globally, rather than having to delete them from each course individually.
• The user understood the message that appeared when they tried to delete an LTI that was being used in multiple courses.
