Key Findings

In STUDIO

Process complexity: The user finds the process of adding LTI tools to be cumbersome and confusing. The documentation is in English and doesn't clearly explain the various configuration options.
Technical knowledge required: The user struggles with terms like "LTI consumer ID" and "LTI version" because they lack a technical background. Ideally, the tool should be user-friendly and not require extensive technical knowledge.
Configuration options: The user finds the configuration options confusing, especially the "hide external tool" setting and its relation to the button option. The order of these options in the interface might not be intuitive.
Value of clear explanations: The user emphasizes the importance of clear explanations and examples alongside the configuration options. This would help users understand what each option does and how it affects the LTI tool's behavior.

Overall, the usability test reveals that the process of adding LTI tools in Studio needs improvement. The interface should be more user-friendly with clear explanations and require less technical knowledge from the users.

In the Prototype

Methodology: An interview was conducted with a user, where they were asked to complete two tasks:

Add an existing LTI tool.
Create and add a new LTI tool.

Results:

Improvements:

The user found the new interface more intuitive and visually appealing than the previous version.
The ability to see different versions of the tool and choose the appropriate one was considered a significant improvement.
